The Association of Fundraising Professionals’ 2018 International Fundraising Conference will take place April 15 – 17 in New Orleans. The three-day conference will be held at the New Orleans Ernest N. Morial Convention Center.
The conference will offer networking opportunities, panels, speakers, exhibitors, and more than 90 education sessions covering professional fundraising and nonprofit management.
The 2018 International Fundraising Conference will explore resilience, diversity, and the impact of the new tax law.
The opening keynote panel ‘Building Resilient Communities’ will discuss what it takes to build and foster resiliency within communities, with a special focus on New Orleans and its recovery from Hurricane Katrina, the Deepwater Horizon oil spill and the Great Recession.
The closing keynote speaker is Bryan Stevenson, the founder and executive director of the Equal Justice Initiative in Montgomery, Alabama.
The Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP) represents more than 30,000 members in over 230 chapters throughout the world, working to advance philanthropy through advocacy, research, education and certification programs. The association fosters development and growth of fundraising professionals and promotes high ethical standards in the fundraising profession.
The annual conference brings more than 3,500 fundraising professionals together to discuss, teach, and learn about important trends and issues related to fundraising and philanthropy.
