Will Interactive, Inc., a Maryland-based company that develops interactive training simulations, is holding a competition for ideas for a game simulation that will address an important social issue.
The company's interactive simulations allow users to become the lead character in a movie. The viewer makes choices and experiences the consequences, thereby altering the storyline. The simulations aim to train users to make better decisions in similar real-life situations. For example, in Hate Comes Home, a youth education game, teens learn how to resolve a potentially violent conflict fueled by prejudice and bias. Will Interactive has developed products for educators, healthcare professionals, and the military.
The Simulate a Better World Challenge is open to non-profit and for-profit companies and organizations, as well as individuals. The winner will participate in the development of the product and will have the right to use the simulation. Entry deadline is February 29.
