Earlier this week, the Social Good Summit partners launched +SocialGood, a new global community connecting individuals interested in using technology and new media for social good. The +SocialGood community has already announced a number of events, reports Mashable, one the platform's creators.

Here are just a few of the items on the calendar in the coming weeks:

Global Nutrition +SocialGood
June 3
The US Agency for International Development kicks off the first day of Nutrition Week with this Google+ Hangout focusing on nutrition and global development and featuring 1,000 Days and GAINS's Future Fortified campaign.

Personal Democracy Forum +Social Good
June 6 - 7
The Personal Democracy Forum's conference on the theme "Think Bigger" will feature panel discussions on how technology and new media can be used to tackle large-scale problems. The event, which is being held in New York City, will be livestreamed at PersonalDemocracy.com.

G-Everyone +SocialGood at the G8
June 10
A 24-hour digital convening occurring on the eve of the G8 Summit, a forum of the world's eight wealthiest Western countries. Communities around the globe will unite through Mashable's Meetup Everywhere platform to discuss the G8's core themes of open economies, open governments and open societies.

Digital Diplomacy +SocialGood
July 31
The Digital Diplomacy Coalition and the UN Foundation come together for a series of discussions about the merging of diplomacy and technology.

Young Genius +Innovation Challenge +SociaGood
August 22 - October 24
The Conrad Foundation is hosting the Spirit of Innovation Challenge, an annual business and technical competition open to students ages 13-18 from around the world.
